Why do I want an old small 4x4 SUV to beat around? No idea. This Jimmy would do the job quite nicely though. Time to sell the Safari and buy its full framed brother?

I’m no where near some guys here but I don’t buy reasonably either, almost bought a STS as a third car last week when I’m still trying to justify two. What are you using the Safari for?

I bought a $250 XJ with cracked transmission, put some money into it, beat it up, Daily drove it the whole time , then parted it out after about 2-3 years ownership.

Worth it.

Only get it if you’re fully prepared for the interior rattles. They’re one of the worst parts of my Blazer, I’m just assuming the first gens also rattle like crazy

If you do this and go for a S10 Blazer or Jimmy, look for one with the Vortec 4.3 (VIN Code W). 200hp instead of the regular 160 that was standard in the mid 90s. I still miss mine.
